California Gurls

(Crochet top: thrifted vintage/Shorts: Levi's UO/Shoes: Target)

The heat has arrived! I’m a summer person all the way. School has officially ended and I am in vacation mode now. Whenever the heat becomes too unbearable (which is almost every day of summer in Fresno), I am drawn to little shorts and barely there tops. A great, great way to get more shorts without spending money is by taking pants that were once used to sheath winter legs and cutting them to reveal legs that are in much need of some sun!

I grew up in the central valley, and I’m still completely un-immune to the heat, but I love it. Summer means freedom, and mexican popsicles that come in outrageous flavors!

This crochet top is my most favorite vintage find ever. I’m pretty sure it’s handmade, I just love the peach color! It makes me feel like I’m wearing a doilie.

I hope everyone’s summer is off to a great start!

  1. love everything about this outfit!
especially the shoes and the top - so cute :)

  2. that top is simply amazing.

  3. I absolutely love this outfit, the crochet top is amazing as are the shorts and shoes. It looks so summery and wonderful over there, I'm so jealous that summer has already started for you over there!

When I went to America a few years ago, I'm sure I stopped off in Fresno whilst on a bus tour to Yosemite. It's in California, right? :)
Also, wow to the tattoo! That's such a bold statement, I really like it.

Anyway, hope your summer's off to a great start!
